Introducing OmniBallot!

The Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Office is excited to offer OmniBallot as a new accessible vote-by-mail option for eligible voters.

The accessible vote-by-mail system allows voter with disabilities to access, mark and print their ballot from home, on their home devices and printers. Previously, voters who could not see, hold, or mark a paper mail ballot could not vote by mail independently and privately.

Here are some important facts about OmniBallot:

  • OmniBallot is not an online voting system. OmniBallot offers a more secure and accessible method of transmitting ballots for eligible voters who cannot vote at the polls or on a conventional paper mail ballot, due to geography or disabilities.
  • OmniBallot is certified in every state requiring formal state certification and meets NIST Cybersecurity Framework guidelines, which are reviewed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and over 100 cybersecurity researchers.
  • OmniBallot has been reviewed and certified by the Florida Secretary of State.

OmniBallot was created and is maintained by Democracy Live, an elections technology company. Democracy Live was founded in 2007 and currently operates in 26 states. The company has been awarded funding by the Department of Health and Human Services and the Elections Assistance Commission to assist voters with disabilities.
