Vote-by-Mail Secure Ballot Intake Station (Drop Boxes)

Before you return your voted vote-by-mail ballot, be certain to seal it in the return envelope provided and sign the voter's certificate on the back of the envelope. Vote-by-Mail  ballots must be received by the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Office by 7 p.m. on Election Day to be counted and may be returned by mail (USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.) or to a Secure Ballot Intake Station (Drop Box) located at designated early voting locations during designated hours. Ballots may also be returned in-person inside the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Office on the 3rd floor during normal business hours (Monday -Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.). Mail ballots cannot be accepted at an Election Day polling place, however, you can surrender your vote-by-mail ballot and vote in-person if you choose.

It is unlawful for any person to physically possess more than two vote-by-mail ballots per election in addition to his or her own ballot or a ballot belonging to an immediate family member. Immediate family members include spouse, parent, child, grandparent, grandchild, or sibling of the designee or designee's spouse.

Secure Ballot Intake Station (Drop Box) will be provided and monitored by election personnel at all times.
